As the Aerodynamics Lead for this cycle, I am leading a team of 10 students to design, simulate, and manufacture the aeroshell. I have learned to use many different CFD softwares, but I always find myself returning to Fluent. Hopefully that changes soon.
Through PSR, I had the opportunity to work on composite projects in particle physics research at Purdue's Composite Manufacturing and Simulation Center (CMSC). Currently, I am prototyping the midsection of the BlueSky Calvision particle accelerator calorimeter.
I joined Purdue Solar Racing (PSR) with no relevant experience but put in the effort to quickly learn about composites and aerodynamics. I was involved with all the composite parts of the car, and I independently manufactured a couple parts.
